Recognised by a controller you have never met

Liv Madsen · adult senior-squad player at FC Roskilde. Plays a regional tournament once a year for the federation. Wants to set her photo preferences once, not three times for three different organisations she has no formal relationship with.

This story shows our planned single pane of glass — one overview of how images of you are used across every controller in your life. The cross-controller pairing it describes needs at least two controllers in a subject's life already on Ansikt before it can fire. The first two steps — onboarding at one club, setting defaults there — ship today. Everything from the federation cross-match onwards is the part we are still building.

Step 01

Onboarding at the first club — magic link, no password

FC Roskilde labelled Liv's face when they processed last season's photos — that is how the reference embedding exists. Today she clicks the magic link in her inbox and takes over her own record. No signup form, no password to invent.

She is an adult self-managing — no parent flow, no guardian wrinkle. Sixty seconds from email to "I am in control of this."

Step 02

Set the defaults at FC Roskilde

She sees the photos the club holds of her — senior squad offsite, Christmas, training day, the home match. Five Purposes from the club. Allow Match-day social. Block Yearbook print. Decide-per-image on the club website. Allow Newsletter. Block Programme inserts. Five taps. No legalese.

Weeks later — a notification from a controller she has never met

Once another controller in Liv's life is also on Ansikt, this is what will happen. A portal notification: Sjælland Fodbold found her, three photos, captured at a regional tournament. The reason her photos will surface anywhere is that her reference data, established at FC Roskilde, will match the faces detected when the federation's photographer uploads the tournament shoot.

She will never have heard of Sjælland Fodbold. No contract, no signup, no prior contact — the cross-match will be the only reason she sees them at all.

Match confidence will show as High. The federation's default policy on file will be Block — her faces stay blurred until she decides. If she thinks the match is wrong, she will be able to flag it; the audit row will show what made the match and when.

Apply the same defaults to the new controller

The decisions grid will then show two rows — FC Roskilde and Sjælland Fodbold, newly added. One tap will apply her three shared Purposes (social, website, newsletter) from the club across to the federation's matching Purposes. The other two — yearbook print and programme inserts — do not apply at the federation.

She will also be able to save these as her defaults so future controllers pick them up automatically. Saved atomically. Five seconds.

Every match Ansikt has ever made for her — the audit ledger

Liv will open her ledger. Every match, every consent change, every notification — all logged with a timestamp. FC Roskilde at onboarding when consent was granted. Sjælland Fodbold the day the match was generated and the notification fired.

She will not need a selfie on file — the reference is held by FC Roskilde's labelling. She will be able to revoke her consent at FC Roskilde at any time. Without it, the matching loop switches off. With it, every match is logged and she can read the loop.

That is what the magic looks like from the subject side.

The same mechanics show up on the customer side at her club, and at the folkeskole with a guardian wrinkle.
